- Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators: For when you don't want a nuclear reactor.
- Gen I Photovoltaics: The modern-day solar energy solution. It'll keep the life support, lights and coffee machine running, but not much else.
- High-Endurance Cable: Impacts happen, be it from an attack or a bad pilot. The last thing anyone wants is lack of power; as such new cables have been developed specifically to reduce breakdowns when struck.
- Basic Capacitors: While batteries and such have existed for ages, development of a reliable and efficient capacitor for power storage has always been a challenge. Now it's a thing.
- Enhanced Capacitors: Improvements of capacitors now allow even more power storage than before, because no one wants to replace batteries.
- Basic EMP hardening: Taking to mind the methods with which you can harden something against EMP's, new equipment is designed to these specifications, resulting in much better protection against such a deadly force.
- Gen I Fusion Reactors: Though a fair bit bulky, these early hot fusion reactors prove to generate even more power than nuclear reactors at the cost of being even more dangerous. Though little more than modified lab toys currently.
- Gen II Fusion Reactors: New advancements in fusion enable these reactors to generate even more power than before, along with some basic shielding methods to make them more reliable to utilize in the average starship.
- Gen III Fusion Reactors: With little more than advancements in the stability of the reactors and power generation, there isn’t much to note about developments.
